If I could, I’d sit down for coffee with every single person I meet just to hear their story. Because I believe everyone has one, and every story deserves to be told in a way that feels true. That’s what I do with my camera—I listen, I observe, and I document the quiet in-between moments, the belly laughs, the knowing glances, and the tiny details that make your connections unique.
Being a mama has deepened my love for this work. I know how fast time moves, how quickly little hands grow, and how fleeting the sweetest moments can feel. My goal is to preserve them for you—to make sure you feel seen, loved, and beautiful in every frame. No stiff poses, no forced smiles. Just you, your people, and the magic that already exists in your life.
This was created for the mum who feels like her days are full, but somehow they blur together.
The one who’s always doing, carrying, loving, holding things together, but rarely pausing long enough to notice herself inside it all.

Okay, I have to talk about this family because I have not stopped smiling since the day I walked through their door.
As an in-home family lifestyle photographer serving Oswego, Naperville, and the greater Chicago suburbs, I always tell my clients that their home is the best possible backdrop for a session. And Ilana, Jordan, and Eloise proved that in the most beautiful way.
They invited me into their real life. The place where the dog takes over the couch, the putting green sometimes lives in the hallway, and the best moments happen without anyone planning them. No pretending, no performing. Just them, being completely and utterly themselves.
And to be honest, it was SO much fun for everyone.

We kicked things off with press on nails, which is maybe the most perfectly Eloise way to start a session I could imagine. She was so focused and so in her element, and Ilana was right there next to her, hand on her head, just soaking it in.
I don’t think either of them even noticed me taking this photo. And that is exactly the point.

This is what in-home lifestyle photography is all about. The quiet, ordinary moments that feel so small in the middle of them, until you see them frozen in a photo and realize they were everything.

This family rolls out a putting green in their hallway and it is the most them thing I have ever seen. Watching Ilana and Jordan laugh their way through a little friendly competition while Eloise looked on like the CEO she clearly is? Unmatched.
This is exactly why I love shooting in-home lifestyle sessions across the Chicago suburbs. Every single family has something that is uniquely, perfectly theirs. Lean into it. Bring it into your session. It will make your photos a million times more meaningful.

Floor. Cards everywhere. Dog absolutely unbothered on the couch in the background. This photo makes my whole heart because this is just a regular weekend morning for this family and it is so incredibly beautiful.
This is the stuff your kids are going to want to see someday. Not the posed, stiff, everyone-look-at-the-camera version of your family. This. The real one.

Okay I have to be honest with you. The snuggle moments in this session absolutely wrecked me in the best way. The way Ilana holds Eloise like she could stay there forever. The way Eloise looks up at her like she is the whole world. I don’t have the words, which is saying something because words are kind of my thing.

And then there was this moment on Ilana and Jordan’s bed where Eloise and Ilana just struck a pose and I completely lost it. They both are just so funny and so full of personality and this photo is going on my all-time favorites list, no question.

This is your family. The laughing, the squishing together, the way you all just fit. I will never ever get tired of photographing this kind of love.
If you have been thinking about booking an in-home family lifestyle session in the Oswego, Naperville, or Chicago suburbs area and talking yourself out of it because your house is not perfect or clean enough or fancy enough, I need you to stop that thought right now.
Your home is perfect because it is yours. It has your light, your mess, your putting green, your dog, and all the little details that make your family exactly who you are. That is what I am here to photograph as your in-home family lifestyle photographer. Not perfection. The real, beautiful, messy, wonderful thing.

Ilana, Jordan, and Eloise, thank you for welcoming me in and just being so wonderfully, completely yourselves. I could have stayed all day. These photos are going to mean so much more than you even know right now.
I know these moments feel fleeting, but they’re part of the incredible story you’re writing — the one your child will look back on and see just how deeply they were loved before they even arrived.
